How access works

Most machines use the same four tiers. Whoever builds and places a machine is its Owner — everything else is set from that machine's own "Manage Access" menu.

Owner
Full control: use it free, manage access, pick it up.
Granted
Added by username. Uses it free, can't manage or pick it up.
Public
Owner opened it to everyone. Free to use, still can't manage it.
Rentable
Anyone pays Gold/Silver once to power it on — then it's usable by anyone until it's switched off again.

The Vending Machine and the Solar Power System don't use all four — see their own sections for what applies.

Blow Torch (kept)1
Screwdriver (kept)1
Hammer, any type (kept)1

Run it — owner

  1. Right-click the machine → Manage Vending Machine to set a Gold/Silver price on each item.
  2. Drag stock into the machine like any container — the price you last set for that item is remembered automatically.
  3. Toggle Visible / Hidden in the same window to put a marker on (or off) everyone's World Map.
  4. Right-click → Pick Up Vending Machine to reclaim it — you get the packaged machine back, and anything still inside drops to the ground.

Buy from it — everyone else

  1. Right-click the machine → Buy from Vending Machine, then pick the item and quantity.
  2. Or open its item list like a normal container and right-click an item → Buy 1 / Buy All.
  3. Dragging an item straight out without paying doesn't work — it snaps back. There's no free ride, priced or not.

Non-owners can never pick it up, dismantle it, or destroy it — those options simply aren't there for you.

Each recipe also needs the obvious hand tool (hammer / saw / drill) held or nearby — the crafting window shows exactly what's missing.

Machine Maintenance grants Maintenance + Mechanics XP, not Woodwork.

Run it

  1. Place it inside your own claim (or ~20 tiles of one), never on a road, and wire it to power.
  2. Right-click → Open Table Saw..., pick a recipe card, and hit Craft.
  3. If someone's already mid-craft, you'll get a "Busy! Wait your turn!" message — give it a moment.
  4. Output drops on the ground right next to the machine — pick it up.

What it crafts

Two purpose-built recipes, plus a long list of vanilla-style metal cutting recipes — bars into blocks and chunks, ingots into blocks, sheets into small sheets, and more. Each one's own Welding requirement (2–6) and exact inputs show in the crafting window.

Machine Maintenance grants Maintenance + Mechanics XP, not Blacksmithing. Metal-cutting recipes grant 70% Blacksmithing / 30% Mechanics XP, not Welding — Welding is still required to craft them, just no longer what using them teaches.

Run it

  1. Same placement rules as the Table Saw: your own claim (or ~20 tiles of it), never a road, needs power.
  2. Right-click → Open Band Saw..., pick a recipe, hit Craft.
  3. Same Busy! lock as the Table Saw — one crafter at a time.

Metal Muncher 1000

Feed it scrap and walk away — it works on its own

Build it

Welding Mask (kept)1
Blow Torch (kept)1

Run it

  1. Place it, wire it to power, then right-click → Open Metal Muncher 1000... and flip the power switch on.
  2. Drag qualifying scrap into its container. It munches one item at a time and drops the refined scrap back into that same container.
  3. Come back and collect your refined metal whenever — there's no crafting window to babysit.

What it accepts

Real scrap-tagged metal (copper, gold, silver, aluminum, misc electronics), common hardware (hinges, screws, nail boxes, doorknobs, barbed wire, wire), sledgehammers, most ingots/bars/sheets, wristwatches, firecrackers, and car batteries. Anything else gets rejected at the door.

OwnerGrantedPublicRentable

Access applies to the container itself, not just the switch — if you're not authorized, you can neither add scrap nor take output, even if it's already running.

Run it

  1. Place it, wire it to power, right-click → Open AutoPress..., and choose a category.
  2. Flip both switches on — Power and Production. It won't run with only one.
  3. Feed it the matching raw material and let it work — output lands back in its own container.

Same container-level access as the Metal Muncher — unauthorized players can't add material or take output.

Solar Power System In Development

A 4-piece off-grid power kit for your base

Four separate objects that work together: a battery bank stores charge, solar panels generate it, the cooling system quietly keeps it stable, and the monitor ties the whole thing together. Not rentable, and it never shows on the World Map — this one's private to your base.

The four pieces

PieceBuild costWhat it does
Battery Bank — Small4 Sheet Metal, 4 Electronics ScrapHolds up to 7 real car batteries
Battery Bank — Large6 Sheet Metal, 6 Electronics ScrapHolds up to 15
Battery Bank — Huge8 Sheet Metal, 8 Electronics ScrapHolds up to 20
Solar Panel4 Sheet Metal, 4 Electronics ScrapCharges the bank — more on clear days, less in cloud/rain
Cooling System4 Sheet Metal, 2 Electronics ScrapPlace it and forget it — no interaction needed
Monitor4 Sheet Metal, 6 Electronics Scrap, 1 WireThe control hub — connects everything else

Only real vanilla car batteries (any of the three tiers) go in the bank — anything else is rejected, and each bank size has its own battery-count cap regardless of weight.

Set it up

  1. Place the Monitor, Battery Bank, Solar Panel(s), and Cooling System all within your own claim, near each other.
  2. Right-click the Monitor → open it, then use Connect Battery Bank and Connect All Solar Panels to link the nearest ones.
  3. Drop real car batteries into the Battery Bank — the Monitor's status window shows live charge once everything's linked.
  4. The Cooling System needs no switch and no attention — it just runs once it's placed and linked.

KrackedMetals In-Game/Still Being Developed

Extra materials that feed the other machines — not a placeable machine itself

No machine to build here — this mod just adds new metal materials and the hand-craft recipes to work them. It's a required dependency of KrackedMachinery, and its materials plug directly into the AutoPress and Metal Muncher.

MachineNone — materials + recipes only
FamiliesLead · Unobtanium · Brass
Feeds intoAutoPress (Ammunition, Sheet Metal) · Metal Muncher

Lead — ammo casting

Feed real car batteries into the Metal Muncher 1000 to get Lead Fragments automatically (32 per battery by default). Casting bullets by hand is its own multi-step chain at a real Pottery Wheel, Kiln, and Forge:

StepWhereInputsResult
Shape a mouldPottery Wheel2 ClayBullet Mould (unfired)
Fire the mouldKilnMould + fire source + fuelBullet Mould
Melt leadForge/FurnaceCrucible + tongs + charcoal + Lead IngotCrucible of Molten Lead
Cast bulletsForge/FurnaceMolten crucible + kept mould & tongs + charcoal100 Lead Bullets (tunable)

Unobtanium — endgame trophy

A purple, borderline-mythical metal. The one recipe that uses it, the Unobtanium Sword, is deliberately absurd — 2 Unobtanium Ingots, 600 Emeralds, 1000 Diamonds, 100 Gold Sheets, and 4 Small Silver Bars, at Blacksmith 10 / Strength 10 / Fitness 10 / Electricity 10 / Maintenance 10. This is a bragging-rights build, not something you're expected to realistically farm for.

Brass

Brass Sheet is the key ingredient the AutoPress's Ammunition recipe needs alongside Gun Powder and Lead Bullets — see the AutoPress section above.

Where raw Lead Ingots and Unobtanium Ingots themselves are found isn't nailed down in this write-up yet — ask an admin if you're hunting for either.

KCL

KrackedCurrencyLoot In-Game/Still Being Developed

Boosts coins in the loot you already find — nothing to build or turn on

A background system, not a machine — there's nothing to place or switch on. It quietly increases how often Gold and Silver Coins (and raw precious-metal materials) turn up in loot, and makes every coin lighter to carry.

MachineNone — passive loot system
Player actionNone — just loot normally
WhereWallets by default; more container types possible per-server

What it actually does

  • Rolls a chance for Gold and/or Silver Coins the first time a container is looted — Wallets are on by default, and the server can also enable Purses, Handbags, Briefcases, Cash Registers, Safes, Desks, Lockers, Military Lockers, and Postboxes.
  • Can also add raw Gold/Silver Ingots, Sheets, and Fragments to the same containers, independently of the coin roll.
  • Re-weighs every coin it finds — including ones vanilla itself spawned, and ones on zombie corpses — down to a lighter, server-set weight, so a stack of coins doesn't wreck your carry capacity.

Exact odds, amounts, and which container types are active are all server-side settings — ask an admin if you want specifics for this server.

Safe In Development

A lockable, placeable Safe for storing your coins is planned — a build recipe exists in the files (Sheet Metal, Hinges, Screws, forged at a Blacksmith Forge) but doesn't show up in the crafting menu yet.
